Showing Up
‘Sid the Kid’, ‘The Next One’ – Sidney Crosby, two-time Olympic Gold medallist, three time Stanley Cup champion and the best hockey player since Wayne Gretzky, is a guy ‘who can’t pass by a pond without joining in if there’s a pick up hockey game going on’.
Robin’s a fan and sent me a response to a recent interview question from Crosby on “How would you like to be remembered?”.
“I competed hard. I was a good team-mate, dependable every night. A winner. And someone who, when stakes were high, you showed up and were at your best.”
I loved all of that – especially the last line. “When stakes were high, you showed up and were at your best.”
That single sentence sums up my entire Peak Performance programme – 15 modules in 12 words!!!
Thank you Sidney (and Robin).
