Peaky Buggers II
A note from a Peaky Buggers founder member – Rog (Dodge) Moss. A brilliant artist, sculptor and Champion of the Left.
Sal and I have just returned from a short break over in Rutland. We wanted to visit a gallery in Uppingham, the Goldmark Gallery, from which we have bought many prints over the years—Hockney, Paolozzi, Matisse, Picasso etc. But the reason for writing is, whilst there, we came across Uppingham School.
A very grand public school, co-ed now, founded in 1584.
It reminded me of a cross between LRGS and Stoneyhurst, you get the idea.
So I googled it and its site was headed by the following, and I thought of you:
For the forward thinkers, makers, debaters and creators.
The Pioneers who ask why.
And why not.
For tomorrow’s leaders;
not defined by where they have gone,
but where they are yet to go.
Praesis ut Prosis!
Cheers Dodge.
