A few weeks ago I was back at the top end of Kings Rd, Chelsea – opposite the iconic Peter Jones department store in the Duke of York Square, for two days work with Sky TV.  This mural was painted on a white office building wall and was spectacular.  It took me back 55 years to when I was spending a lot of time on the Kings Road which was at the very heart of swinging London, with Mary Quant at the very heart of that very heart.  Fashion was leading the way in those heady times of exuberance, youth, creativity and freedom.  This mural took me right back there.  It lives on in three of my granddaughters Kendall, Tilly Plum and Winnie – all of them are early adopters of Mary’s passion for fashion.
