As I watch the US Presidential race come down to a couple of near octogenarians I’m heartened by the performance of a neighbour of ours in Arizona, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego.

She became only the second elected female Mayor in Phoenix history when she won office last year.  At age 38 she is the youngest heavy hitter in any major US city (Phoenix is the US’s 5^th largest city).

She’s a fan of the environment, sustainability, diversity, growth, education, entrepreneurship and healthcare.  She’s innovative, brave and experimental.

And above all, she’s collaborative.

One to watch.
